You have the DVD of the first movie but not the sequel

Just casting a glance over at my DVD shelves trying to decide what to watch and I notice that I have a number of movies with sequels but few of the sequels.

Bring It On
The Hustler
Jaws
The Matrix
Ocean’s Eleven
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Spider-Man
Superman: The Movie
That’s Entertainment
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
X-Men

The only series I have in their entirety are the Godfather trilogy (in a box set) and The Terminator, and I wouldn’t have T3 if it hadn’t been on sale at the grocery store for 7 bucks.

(On the flip side, I have the MST3K version of Boggy Creek 2 but not the first Boggy Creek)

Of those the only ones I’d consider buying the sequels for would be RHPS, Spider-Man, That’s Entertainment and X-Men. For the others, either I liked the sequels well enough but wouldn’t buy them or in some cases really disliked the sequels.

I have:

The Apple Dumpling Gang but not “… Rides Again.”

“The Dirty Dozen,” but none of the sequels.

“The Fugitive,” but not “U. S. Marshals.”

“Night of The Living Dead,” but not “Dawn,” “Day,” Afternoon, Mid-Evening, Dust, False Dawn, whatever the hell the rest are called.

“Planet of The Apes” (Chuck Heston version) but none of the others.

“Starship Troopers,” but not “ST2.”

I own “Dr. No,” and four or five other Bond films, but not all of them.

I have all of the Aliens movies except “Aliens 3.”

On the other hand, I have one sequel, but not the original. I have “The People That Time Forgot,” but not the first one, “The Land That Time Forgot.”

I have only the first Matrix, and don’t really care for that very much.

I have NeverEnding Story and none of the other pieces of crap that they made as followups.

I have some Star Treks and not others.

I have most Disney animated films and barely any of the straight-to-video sequels (I do have a Lion King and a Lilo and Stitch sequels, and apparently the Bambi interquel is quite good).

Grease (I heard they were going to make a sequel, but I guess they changed their minds)

I have The Jerk, but not its sequel.
I have Back to the Future 1 and 2, but not 3.
I have The Matrix and Matrix Revolutions, and that’s as far as the franchise went, as far as I’m concerned.

I used to have Blackadder II without any of the others, but recently purchased the box set.
I have The Road Warrior, but not Mad Max

I bought Hellraiser; the first sequel came with it in the same DVD case, although I didn’t especially want it, and I have none of the further sequels.

Spiderman.

I have ST II: The Wrath of Khan, but none of the others before or after.

Also, out of sequence, I have the third Harry Potter movie, but none of the others.
