Kirk Douglas.
I love that guy and have some very fond memories thanks to his movies.

Kirk Douglas is cool and all, but my vote would be for a Betty White style career resurgence for Christopher Plummer.
Kirk DID do SNL once, way back when.
He did the “Kirk’s Greatest Kirks” skit. It was one of the great ones.
Best wishes,

Seconded
Only if he does a skit with Dick Clark!
No thanks. Five years ago in the HBO doc … A Father… A Son… Once Upon a Time in Hollywood he looked enfeebled and sad and he was difficult to understand.
I’d go with Carol Burnett. At 77 she’s not nearly as feeble as Kirk and Betty and she’s got a lot of good performances left in her.
She’s going to be on GLEE as Jane Lynch’s mother, and she has said in the past she’d love to do a remake of Harold & Maude or else a H&M like movie- maybe she’s there to find a Harold among Chris Colfer or Kevin McHale or one of the other young ones. (I’d sure pucker up if Carol was interested in working with me.)
You know, after the success of Betty White on SNL, we should have…
a break from on-line campaigning to have a person host SNL.
I think it’s harder for a man. An older woman can come off as a wild and carefree grandmother, who’s quirky and funny.
An older man either looks pathetic or just a mean old grouch.
