You know the new Apple cloud service?

Well, if you have an iPhone and go to iTunes -> More, you’ll see Purchased listed below Downloads. It’ll then have the option to see music you have purchased, but that isn’t on the iPhone.

Damn, I had a whole bunch of stuff I bought, then somehow have lost over the years (I’ve noticed that dragging your library from iTunes to a new iPhone/iPod doesn’t always copy over all songs, why, no idea).

Anyway, I just redownloaded for free a bunch of music I bought who knows when. I’m now enjoying the Neil Finn album One All, Snow Patrol’s Eyes Open album and Derick & The Dominos. Woo Whoo!

It’s like Christmas in July!

Hmm. I didn’t find that where you said it was - it’s not under “more” on my phone, but the “purchased” area now has two tabs, one for “All” and one for “Not on this iPhone”

Very cool!

Amazon also has their own cloud service. It’s possible to play your purchased songs on your iPhone using the Safari browser, but you can only stream them at this time and not download them. It would be nice if Amazon came out with an app.

I see Amazon has a cloud app for Android, but Apple is blocking one from iPhone or iPad due to Amazon being in direct competitorship. Pity.

That’s the article on how to do it. Got that one emailed to me the other day.

So far it is only songs, apps and books.

Or you could just use the browser to access Amazon’s cloud.

Yes. I know.
