Hey, not my problem if you want to get the fame of being a certifiable Jerk too, besides being a proud ignorant and a troll.
A yes, the problem you have as a crank magnet is to not be aware of the people that are into skepticism and debunkings are actually doing, perhaps you will be the very first skeptic to acknowledge that it is not good for you that groups that do investigate woo woo and pseudo-science for a living put things like pyramid healing, ancient aliens, chiropractors and climate change denial on the same column.

Rational Wiki thinks the same, only in a more deserving for jerks and trolls form.
Even Cecil Adams does not have a flattering view of chiropractics, climate change deniers or other types like that. Among chiropractors it does depend if the practitioner does use actual medical science, sadly chiropractors like that are in the minority.
We can put a man on the moon, but we can’t eliminate the excess CO2?
Send it to the moon!
I’m actually optimistic that we can “science the shit out of this”. Unfortunately the current Republican congress and more frighteningly almost all the Republican candidates for congress do not look at science.
The big problem then is that we have people in power that are not making sure that we have the money to pay for all that infrastructure that will be needed to do effective geoengineering, And add to that that the ones pushing the FUD are also seeding doubts against the very same scientists that will have to monitor those geoengineering solutions that will be needed if we do not bother to do the right thing first.
You’ve never actually visited a chiropractor huh?
It’s not really that expensive bro…listen, instead of going balls out and buying lobsters at the beginning of the month, trade some of those food stamps in and treat yourself to a session.
I know spending your weekdays at the welfare office doesn’t exactly put a lot of stress on your body but I’m willing to bet it’ll even help your lazy ass.
You have never read a science book huh?
As they said if you think knowledge is expensive try ignorance. And you exude it, for example I have not gone to a welfare office, and I never had food stamps; you see the thing is that there is not much money in education, but I will continue for the good of the students in a poor area. What it does help a lot is that I have a very close family too and it is clear that you do not know what that means.
But getting back to demonstrating your ignorance, you only showed to all that you are only a coward and will never explain why even more serious skeptics do put chiropractors, climate change deniers, creationists, etc, etc, in the same column.
I really don’t get what the attraction is for these guys who show up, spend maybe a couple weeks at the most with seemingly no other agenda but to insult as many posters as possible, then inevitably get banned. I mean, what’s the point?
One should notice here that he is spending more time looking at the previous posts of an opponent (and only to show how he can be an even bigger jerk) and not dealing much with the debunkings that skeptical science has that we already linked too, he is indeed more concerned about learning about posters than well… learning.
Perhaps if honest questions can be asked without retribution, we all could learn something. Let me demonstrate:
Which specific climate is changing?
Now watch as I’m accused of trolling, being an idiot, a Big Oil shrill and all manner of nasty things. Anything and everything except (of course) an honest answer to the question.
Psst - op-stay alking-tay o-tay the oll-tray. He’s ruining my buzz.
Oh, yeah, the problem is that items like that were explained many times before. What it is interesting is that just as in the case of FX you seem to not be able to recognize who is being nasty here.
Follow the link in Post 107. There you will find a list of common statements made about climate change, and two-line summaries of the facts in support or in opposition. Click on any of those two-line summaries, and you’ll mind a more detailed discussion of that topic.
Really, it couldn’t be much simpler to educate yourself on this subject.
By the way, even on this thread I started by only posting information and noting that cm was wrong. Since he turned on the nastiness and personal attacks and this is the pit, after my attempt at teaching something is spat on I do not hold back my contempt for the ones that continue being insulting while ignoring the previously posted things that were discussed and taught before; and not even just by me, but by proper experts and scientists.
Do you realize you stopped being helpful a long, long time ago? Every post you make just encourages the trolls. This whole thread is embarrassing.
I’m out.
Wanking.
Couple weeks at the most huh?
Been here longer than that and I’m not banned yet. I know that really chaps your ass and your liberal tears are most likely soaking your diaper but it is what it is.
Gotta love the liberal mantra: Absolute tolerance unless your views differ from mine…Repress, Ban, Silence anyone who disagrees!!!
Oh well, I guess you miss it that indeed I think that they are trolls too, but the thing is I also do want to learn, that the troll learns is not much my concern but my background is really in education, so. Indeed this thread is embarrassing for the ones that do not want to see trolls, but I also told Smeghead that it was his fault.
Sometimes one has to turn a rock around to investigate, it is interesting for the ones studying bugs, (social studies background here too) but I do understand why others would think it is not helpful. I’m really sorry that we could keep a pit thread to your standards.
Sure, whatever you say. Good luck to you.
Well, here is conservative, republican, scientist from BYU showing how much you have to learn.
Barry Bickmore is Associate Professor of Geological Sciences at Brigham Young University. His research specialties are low-temperature geochemistry and geoscience education. In this presentation, he discusses how he moved from being a climate change "skeptic" to being an outspoken advocate of mainstream climate science. He then discusses how it is that people like him can so effectively avoid the truth about climate change.
Not much really to learn that it is not science what you are using to avoid the facts, it is clear that the ideology you are following is not appreciated by most conservative scientists either.
The reality is that you are following the mantra of a minority of the Republican party. And I know enough of the subject to know that you do keep on going here for the simple reason that you have peers that would vote you out of the island if you come out supporting the science.
That’s because the mods enjoy watching us play with our food.
