Of course, Bill Clinton has joined us!
There’s at least 1 Doper in my hometown, though I don’t think I’ve ever met him.
I don’t know about that. I’ve heard about you sailors.
So, CheifScott, according to your Fathom profile you are some sort of flack for the Navy. Might some of us have read one of your press releases?
Jesuslynch claimed to be from Little Rock, but that was a clever ploy from my employer to find out if I post at work.

Probably. He’s the foot-through-the-toilet guy. Apparently it’s a classic story in the military.
Apparently I was one of the first Dopers from Kansas City (second, I think), and now there’s about a dozen. But no matter how many attempts I make for a Dopefest, do you think we ever do? NOOOO!
But I wonder if I’ve met any of them without knowing it. Heck, SeriousArt works in a building I can see from the roof of my house. He looks also familiar. I’m almost sure I’ve met or seen him before.

I saw Chief Scott on television! This was before the SDMB, though, way back when I was in high school. When I saw his picture, I was like OMG, I saw him on television! <insert picture of me here getting way overexcited about the little things in life, as is my wont to do>
Hey, come to think of it, I did know another AFN reporter, Fritz H-something (can’t quite remember). He was the one that quit smoking, for all you former AFN watchers, you know Fritz quits? Although, he did start back up again, which they never made a commercial about. Anyhoo, maybe he knows Chief Scott.
And I’m sure all of us folks who are/have been connected with the military are just a few degrees apart.
