You may be a fundamentalist atheist if....

This is painfully sad.

Up to the point of “Origins”, that really wasn’t too bad. A bit extreme, but hey, that for a Fundy Atheist. But once it gets to Origins… Well, then it’s just complete and utter shit.

Up until Origins, it seems mostly like “Things we believe atheists believe, so we don’t need to actually argue with them”. Then it becomes “Goofy nonsense we theists believe, phrased as an attack on atheism.”

I like this one. I saw “that guy”. Here. On the Dope. Forget his name (s).

Although you’ve memorized a half a dozen proofs that He doesn’t exist, you still think you’re God’s gift to the ignorant masses.

My favorite:

Okay then…

It damn well should be.

That one’s reaching a bit, I think.

I feel so persecuted.

Whoever wrote this was surely pissed off at atheists. Why?

And you were on the tektonics website why?!

That’s the tone he takes in dealing with atheists because he seems to feel (based on his writing) that Christians need to take the offensive more than the defensive in dealing with atheists since he says that atheists are more often taking the offensive so he’s trying to counteract that.

You should see his debate style.

I’m not an atheist, but this guy lost me at the 15 year old boy bit–long before the origins portion.

He sounds like a tool.

I also find fault with his confusion of agnosticism and atheism. Big difference, at least to me.

It’s a tough call, but after much thought and reflection, this gets my vote as the stupidist thing in that list.

That guy gets an A for creativity. It takes some mind to make a list that long out of 4 or 5 different points.

I’m not an atheist, and I want to beat the guy about the head with a clue-by-four. What a moron.

(:smack: can stand in for a ‘facepalm’ smiley, right?)

Can someone explain to me what this even means?:

You can claim with as straight face on sites like Talk Origins that “Evolution does not have moral consequences” despite the fact that prominent evolutionary advocates like Richard Dawkins and Daniel Dennett vehemently assert that evolution does transcend biology in a way that has a profound effects upon ethics.

I’m not an atheist, and this guy is a tool. He seems to be responding to a certain cohort of posters that recur on the message boards he frequents. If you went through some old posts here, you could probably put together a comaprable list for Christian Fundamenatlists, only hopefully not so lame.

Tektonics is run by one of the biggest assholes on the web. He’s an incredibly pompous, supercillious and woefully incompetent amateur apologist and defender of Biblical literalism (including YEC) who goes by the pseudonym, J.P. Holding. He’s insulting, abrasive, smug, evasive and abusive in his debate tactics, turning any attempt at dialogue into a personal attack on the opponent. I think he now refuses to even engage in debates or post any rebuttals to his website. He’s a complete wanker.

So anyone with a smattering of science, including pretty much the entire Catholic Church, is a fundamental atheist. Who knew?

Maybe someone burned a cross with a big circle around it and a slash through it on his lawn.
