"You must suffer to be beautiful." Damn right.

You’re kidding, right? I’ve heard this so many times that it boggles my mind.

No offense, Golden Gun, but I was surprised to read this OP. It screamed ‘teenager!’ at me, and I had always assumed you were older.

A guy goes to the doctor. He say “Doc, it hurts when I do this.” The doctor says, “Well, don’t do that.”

When I was 25 I was dating a man who was 35. He bleached his dirty-blond hair and when he told me about it on the phone I thought “eeeeeeewww!” But when I saw it … yum !

some people think bleached hair on men looks bad. I just want you to know that some people lurrrrve it. don’t be discouraged.

And thanks for this thread, everyone: for the first time in my life I have hair that is (a) short and (b) turning grey so I will have to join the ranks of the artificially-coloured. Any recommendations for a nice home colour kit for thick, curly, shit-brown hair?

Well, I keep mine just about an inch above shoulder-length-anything longer and it gets scraggily.

Which sucks, because when I was little, I had nice long hair-but when I was nine I got it cut to shoulder length so I could get a perm. Then, when I hit puberty, it wasn’t as nice anymore.

WAAAHHH!!!

Hey, I have thick, curly, shit brown hair!

I use Feria. It smells good and works great. My personal color choice is chocolate cherry, which is like a burgundy. Their colors are really nice though. And it doesn’t dry out your hair.
