A staple here in the land of pizza, for those who don’t want yet another soft, gloppy pie you either eat with a fork or wear.
Pizza Inn (North Carolina locations, at least) offered taco pizzas well into the '90s. I don’t remember refried beans as an ingredient though.
They still have this less-convenient way to eat mediocre tacos.
Yep, that looks pretty much like the taco pizza I remember.
(The lettuce was always sort of damp…)
I see variations of this since I’m in SO Cal its usually a normal pizza but uses taco sauce and a “Mexican cheese blend” and normaly spiced hamburger
Now when a Mexican restaurant did it they used carne asada and adobo sauce and beans could be added
Godfather’s still has the bacon cheeseburger pizza.
If you really want refried beans on your pizza, Godfather’s has a nacho pizza. Or at least they sometimes do; I’m not sure all locations have it all the time, you’ll have to ask. Unlike their taco pizza, it’s not a big seller. That’s probably because most people don’t know they have it. Anyway, it also has broken up tortilla chips (among other toppings) for crunch. I’m afraid I can’t give any recommendation either way for it, because I haven’t had it. I don’t care much for Mexican food, even faux-Mexican food.
Please, take a picture of what you will make
