I forced myself to explain to my republican sister the alternate meaning of “tea bagger” and “tea bagging” a few weeks ago while she was throwing around the political meaning of the terms. She refused to believe me and claimed that mine were the recently made up definitions. She later shared my definitions with others of her rabidly republican ilk, not one of whom would admit to ever having heard my definitions. This is a scary world I find myself living in.
I bet their husbands were quite familiar with the term, don’t you worry. . .
Wait. I just said that about your sister. Too far? I’m sorry.
So is Lonesome Polecats’s admission that he has friends and relatives advocating sedition enough to bring him and his friends in for questioning? Is posting to a message board considered an “overt act” in terms of criminal conspiracy? Of course in this sort of serious matter maybe the pre-9/11 thinking doesn’t apply and we should take then all to Guantanamo. This may be just the tip of the iceberg for domestic terror cells. We don’t want the first warning sign to be a mushroom cloud. I’m pretty sure I know where the domestic terror cells are: they’re in the area around Kansas and east, west, south and north somewhat.
ETA: I wonder if Palin will mind if we say the Tea Baggers are petarded.
And after we waterboard them, we can teabag them.
 I truly, honestly did not realize you were that much of an idiot.
Yes, it’ll be interesting to see how well mass starvation and forced labor go over in this country.
Save me a seat at the revolution comrade.
Really? I was so unfazed by it coming from him I didn’t even think it was worth commenting on.
Actually, Ruby Ridge happened under the watch of the first Bush (not that it makes that much of difference to people like LP).
Incidentally, regarding LonesomePolecat’s contributions to this thread, I respond with these five letters: D-N-F-T-T.
In Soviet America, cats pole you!
Rand Rover is totally not a Republican. He’s a Libertarian. Completely different.
Holy fuck.
Is this what the US right wing think generally, or is this a way extreme view?
Is there a difference?
Well, it seems to be pretty typical talk on Free Republic, but it’s kinda hard to tell how far even the Freeptards really believe it.
Quasi-Stalinist: that’s the one with all the oppression and none of the fun uniforms, right? Or is it the other way around?
Really? I get the impression he thinks Obama looks very, very different than Democrats who are white.
Was born and raised there, the “Athens on the Brazos”.
See, I figure Koresh did it deliberately, located his batshit plantation right in the very heart of advanced, secular humanist thinking in Texas. What, you thought it was Odessa?
I know people talk about it being Austin, but Austin was just a reservation for isolating and seperating queers, hippies, and long-haired lefty shitkickers. They figure if there was a nuclear war, they set one off in Austin and say the Russians did it. But I digress…
You are a romantic, but one all mushy about violence rather than fucking. A very serious mistake, right from the git-go. If your going to be stupidly infatuated, have the good sense to let it be nookie! To be mushy about violence is twice as stupid as being mushy about love, twice as stupid and headed in the wrong direction four times as fast!
There will be no mass defection of US military to the revolutionary cause. Your plan demands that you justify shooting your cousins, your neighbor’s kids, that doofus from the AV club.
I don’t know you, and sure as hell don’t like you any more than you like me. But I’ll offer this much respect: I don’t think you could do it. You might even get so far as drawing a bead on a clean shot in an American unform with the flag patch…but you couldn’t do it.
Sure, but my guess is it can all be somehow attributed to Clinton retroactively. Or else to Carter’s lack of foresight.
Well, I can’t tell, but I get the impression LP’s rabid political stance overrides his racism/homophobia/xenophobia, so any issue other than “Democrat” would be secondary.
Not just them. Even elected officials. I give you Matt Shea-R, Spokane, WA
But that’s just the level of discourse in this country now, on both sides. I’m as far left as damn near anybody on these boards, but let’s not pretend similar insults weren’t lobbed at Bush. And if McCain/Palin were in office now, I have no doubt the Nazi comparisons would be fairly commonplace.
