You Think People Gabbing On Their Cellphones While Driving Is Bad?

Wait’ll they get their mitts on Scopo! They’ll be able to play freakin’ Doom 3 while they drive!

I want one!

Paging Dr. Darwin… Paging Dr. Charles Darwin…

People are too busy to play video games while driving. I once saw a guy eating a bowl of cereal behind the wheel during AM rush here in LA. I wonder if he had the other components of a nutritious breakfast (milk, juice and toast) in the glove compartment. How is a guy like that going to make time for game playing?

I highly doubt that will be legal. TVs in minivans must be positioned in such a way so that the driver cannot see the screen. And the producers of Pimp My Ride being sued because they replaced the driver’s side airbag with a video monitor embedded in the steering wheel.

By all means, get one. But it better be locked safely in your truck when you get behind the wheel of your car.

Perhaps, but I can see them pitching it as aid for in car navigation, as well as replacing the dashboard gauges. It’ll take somebody getting mangled in an accident for those things to be banned from drivers, and just like places where talking on the cellphone while driving is illegal, you’ll still see folks doing it.

Oh boy, this is cool. But it’s gotta stress the eyes!

Many high end cars already have heads up displays. My father’s Lincoln shows the speedometer, fuel level, turn signal indication, and tire pressures on the lower third of the windshield.

Yeah, I know, but I’m sure that the geeks out there will jump at the chance to look like a Borg once they know this technology’s available, and someone will get the “bright” idea of using it to replace the HUD set up.
