You were just given $500...

AK-47. Czech model, or maybe Polish, so I can get it for that price.

"May I have ten thousand marbles, please? "

A hammock and stand. And a nice women’s suit with what’s left.

A couple visits from a housecleaning team.

If that doesn’t count, then a few nice outfits for winter. Especially a good Irish fisherman sweater.

Either a Papillon puppy or a new computer…

A pair of shoes is gonna cost you $500 !?!?!?

A Shoei GT-Air helmet in cherry red.
—G?!!

Why waste your perfectly good book money on bookcases? Books stack very well.

So, yeah, I’m going to get books or kitty trees. Either way, its going to be gone in less than an hour.

My car needs so much more than this… but it can’t go towards a bill, right?
So, may I have 10 shares of Halliburton (HAL) please? I just KNOW its going to go up soon…

…of course if there was a modern day equivalent of Carroll Shelby who would take just $500 to re-work certain parts of my car into something more performance based?
Maybe some Bembro brakes, a new rear end modified for hills, a McLeod Racing Clutch, maybe re-bore the engine, change the exhaust, modify the steering… that sort of thing.

Does it have to be a single item? Because I’d want to spend it on a shopping spree for books, dvds, and games.

Bell Bullitt helmet with flat and bubble shields ($480).

A new iPad, or a whole lot of books.

Or this.

Assorted visa fees for Mrs Iggy and Iggyette would eat up the $500 and then some. Since I am the applicant that counts as spending it on me, right?

A desk. I need one.

A tablet; probably an iPad. I’ve been meaning to get one anyway.

Crossfit trainer or their ilk. Lost a bit of weight so far, but the upcoming winter is going to make walking a bit troublesome.

A nice suit, to replace the one I bought almost 20 years ago.

I really need a new pair of glasses since mine are three or four years old and the protective coating has worn off and the lenses are getting blurry. And a pair of really good shoes that fit my freaky w-i-d-e feet properly. That would be heaven.

If I could spend the money on something more frivolous, a hanging chair something like this would be great. I petsit for a family who has something similar and sitting in it on the deck overlooking Puget Sound is my favoritest place in their whole house to be.

At least!

All of those CDs that I look at on Amazon and then say “Nah, maybe later…”
