Last week, by hand, snail mail.
All I had was my W-2 and 2 form 1099s. It took about fifteen minutes.
Haven’t yet.
I do it by hand, but have been busy lately, so i’ll probably send it in on Saturday.
The Gov’t owes me money (both federal and state) as in years past, so I doubt they will complain if it is a few days late.
I did a dry run on a paper form in February which showed I owed $2000. That couldn’t possibly be right so I put the whole ugly mess out of my head until April 8th. I prepared my taxes using Turbo Tax on April 6. I had a friend with more financial knowledge than I have look them over and filed (by mail) on the 15th at about 2:00pm.
I had phone tax! Did both the fed and state taxes by phone in about half an hour the evening of the 15th. I came out nearly even, with the state giving what the feds took away.
