I can’t figure out why I have Jackson Browne’s “Running on Empty” stuck in my head now.
I was 35.
Whoa…I’ve been here for almost a decade now…
I was 43. Now I’m 57. Coming up on 14 years hanging around here. Sometimes it seems like forever.
I was 41 when I found this place. I became a paying member when I was 43. I’m 51 now.
Wow. So many have been here at least a decade.
42, am 46 now. Just four years, seems an eternity!

I was 17 when I joined, and 18 when I started regularly posting (I’d lurked on the AOL boards from about age 15 or so, but I don’t think I ever posted, so I’m not going to count it). I’m 29 now.
I joined when I was 22. I’ll be 34 in a couple months.
Interesting to see that the 20-somethings are dominating. However I am guessing that becoming a member of a message board was more commonplace for people in their 20s 10+ years ago than it is now, because of how social media works now.
Joined at 29, and now I’m 37.
I think I am growing more ignorant, rather than less, but by no fault of the board.
So far, it looks like roughly half join before age 30, but there’s a lot of other forums where roughly half join before age 20 and/or there’s hardly anyone over age 50.
I was 35. Turned 44 last month.
I was 14, and I am now 15.

You should write a song.
Since I’d recently turned 40 when I joined, 13 and a third years ago, and now I’m 53 and a third, I have been a Doper for precisely ¼ of my life.
