When I was a freshman in college the local news came on campus to interview people about inter-racial relationships. I’m half-Korean, so they interviewed me. Of course I said I was all for them, yada yada yada. Then somehow, during the course of the day I forgot all about the interview and didn’t ask anyone to watch it & record it for me (I didn’t have a tv or vcr). It wasn’t till the phone calls began coming in that I remembered. The cool thing was that they had my name on the screen and then under it they wrote “product of an interracial relationship”. I thought about having a t-shirt printed up with that on it, it just seemed like such an absurd, yet kinda cool, thing to say.

On topic,I’ve meet one of the Johns from They Might Be Giants after a concert. He autographed my shorts & t-shirt and gave me the rest of his beer. That’s about it.

Last night, in fact, my parents came up to take me out to dinner for my birthday. We were sitting right next to the hostess stand waiting for our table when Mom and I heard a very familiar voice. We looked at each other and looked up, and there standing about two feet from us was William Shatner.
He’s in Lexington pretty often, since he has a big-ass saddlebred farm around here. We didn’t talk to him, but that didn’t stop my mom, a Star Trek fan from back in the day, from getting excited.

Speaking of people I’d turn gay for: kd lang. I lust after that woman. Probably because she’d make such a cute guy. If ever was a woman born with a face to make her gay, she is it.

A girl I went to school with plays one of the make-up girls on the show Sports Night. Last night was the first time I watched the show, and all she did was use a clothes brush on one of the other characters, and she didn’t have any lines, and her name wasn’t even on the closing credits, but it was her. I’ll have to start watching the show regularly to see if she ever gets to speak or if she’s just a prop.
