I donated to Obama’s campaign in '08 and '12, both Bernie and HRC’s campaign this cycle, and the DCCC and DSCC every 2 years since '08.
I don’t recall how much we gave to the Obama campaigns, but I’m sure it was substantial. We also registered voters. So far, we’ve donated $1,000 to Hillary’s campaign and will likely volunteer in some capacity.
My first-ever political contribution was to Howard Dean. I think it was $25, but I can’t be sure.

I gave $100 to Sanders, back when his campaign was just getting started. I’ll probably give something to Clinton, but haven’t yet.
I gave in the neighborhood of $1000 to Obama in 2008 and a similar amount to Sanders this year. I don’t remember offhand if I gave to Obama in 2012 or figured that was a safe enough election already. It was apparently enough to get me on the White House’s Christmas card list.
