Your favorite/best War Movies Prior to 1940 -- Part 2

Because I started Your favorite/best War Movies Prior to 1940 too soon, and since another batch of suggested titles have come in at
Best All-Time Military Movies – Pre-Poll Data Gathering, I feel it’s only fair to give those interested another chance to vote here
instead of having to post your intentions in that first thread.

These are the new additions to this period:

The Birth of a Nation The Birth of a Nation (1915) - IMDb (1915)
The Fall of Babylon The Fall of Babylon (1919) - IMDb (1919)
Tell It To the Marines Tell It to the Marines (1926) - IMDb (1926)
The Dawn Patrol The Dawn Patrol (1930) - IMDb (1930)
Bonnie Scotland Bonnie Scotland (1935) - IMDb (1935)
The Charge of the Light Brigade The Charge of the Light Brigade (1936) - IMDb (1936)
Blockheads Block-Heads (1938) - IMDb (1938)
The Dawn Patrol The Dawn Patrol (1938) - IMDb (1938)
Drums along the Mohawk Drums Along the Mohawk (1939) - IMDb (1939)
Gone with the Wind Gone with the Wind (1939) - IMDb (1939)

Please vote for up to FIVE in this poll even if you already posted to the other one.

Thanks!

Not to harsh your thread or anything, but I’m curious why you chose categories related to year of production rather than something else like which war is it about?

It’s easier to break the 300+ movies into manageable sizes for polls.

If you’ll check out the posts following #170 at …

Best All-Time Military Movies – Pre-Poll Data Gathering

… you can get an idea of how many “like which war is it about” there may be – as a best guess.

If there’s an even better way to submit all these titles to votes, I will certainly consider it.

For an update on both these pre-1940 polls see this post

Here’s another progress update on both polls:

Surprised not to see The Big Parade, A***ll Quiet on the Western Front***, or Wings here.

My personal favorite is Wooden Crosses.

SMH. Apologies for missing the earlier post.

Thanks for the Wooden Crosses nomination. I’ll add it to the “overflow” file for later posting.

Drums - mostly for being part of the Wyoming Valley campaign/raid.
