A list where I did use all seven. But unlike the one other, there are a couple here I just don’t like and really don’t care to see. It may be one of those “just me” things but The Green Berets is one of those so far from the experience relatives and friends had (I was just young enough to miss all that) that I just can’t watch it. Especially the close with the little kid and the sun setting in the sea. Hello -------- that would mean the sun was setting INTO the Pacific. Neat trick if you could pull it off. Don’t get me wrong; I loved the book. But the movie Wayne made was just flag-waving (and cheap flag-waving at that) and it just isn’t my thing.

I feel like it’s worth noting why I didn’t vote. I couldn’t come up with much more than 7 movies that I’d even seen. The reason it’s worth noting is that when I checked the poll results, those are the ones that were receiving the most votes.

“You know what this means, don’t you? We got us a war, a gut-busting mother-loving Navy war!”
Kirk Douglass, In Harms Way
