Your Favorite Duets? (released 2000-2014)

What are your favorite duets from the 21st century? We’ll use a loose definition of duet: has two singers, probably one male and one female but you can stretch that to two of the same gender if really you wish to, who each sing something more substantial than just the chorus.

I really like:

Feist and Ben Gibbard “Train Song”
Nelly Furtado and Chris Martin “All Good Things (Come To An End)”
Snowpatrol and Martha Wainwright “Set the Fire To The Third Bar”
What else is out there?

Almost anything off 2007’s Raising Sand by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

I’m not sure but I bet it would be on Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris’ All The Roadrunning.

“Remind Me” Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood
“E.T.” Katy Perry and Kanye West
“South Side” Moby and Gwen Stefani
“Over and Over” Nelly and Tim McGraw

I also liked “Half of My Heart” with John Mayer and Taylor Swift, but that barely featured Taylor at all.

Rhianna and Mikky Ekko Stay

“Who Says You Can’t Go Home”-Jon Bon Jovi and Jennifer Nettles

There is only one answer to this.
Within Temptation with Anneke van Giersbergen singing Somewhere.

Go on. Watch it. Admit that around 1:48 or so that it is a great moment and one of the finest duets of all time.

Assuming “Timber” isn’t eligible (Pitbull sings the verses, Ke$ha sings the chorus), I’ll go with “Dirty Love” by Ke$ha and Iggy Pop. It’s quite different from the usual love song.

The Postal Service - Nothing Better

“Whiskey Lullaby” Alison Krauss & Brad Paisley

Emmylou Harris and Mark Knopfler, Love and Happiness. It’ll break your heart, it’s so gorgeous.
