Your favorite lesser-known actors

I’m pretty sure we’ve done this thread before, but let’s do it again.

Who are some of your favorite actors or actresses who never have and never will star in a leading role or even a supporting role? You know, those people who have a resume spanning several decades and hundreds of movies and yet remain largely unknown?

Bob Balaban used to be on my list, but he’s starting to get better roles.

My current favorite is James Rebhorn. He was Dr. Bob in Meet the Parents, the test guy/actor in The Game, the tire forensics guy in My Cousin Vinny, the DA in the final episode of Seinfeld, and apparently had a role in White Squall, a movie that I’ve seen a dozen times and yet I have no memory of him in it. He has appeared in over 100 films and TV shows.

Mike Starr has been in 100 films. It seems he always plays a mobster, a dock worker, or a NYC bartender. He was the main heavy in Dumb and Dumber. He was in an episode of Star Trek: DS9 called Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang. He has the kind of face that only an Italian mother from Queens could love.

Who are your faves?

Matt Lillard, not a great actor but he adds his own flavor to any movie he’s in.
