Your favorite spectator sport

Baseball. No contest.

Hockey or maybe fishing.

This - I could watch a rugby union game between two teams I know nothing about with ease, but league bores me to tears after the first 20 min…

Baseball, with American Football a close second. While I generally pay more attention to Football games on TV, I can’t imagine a life where I can’t go with my son to the ballpark to catch a game, even if it’s only once in a while.

I’m really torn between baseball and American football. I came close to voting “don’t make me choose” but decided to go with the national passtime.

It would suck to be a season ticket holder for a major league baseball team* and never be able to go. So while I’d miss going to the occasional baskeball game, it’s a no-brainer.
*Yes, the Mets still do technically count as a major league team.

Live or on T.V.? If live, then it’s soccer in a runaway. Baseball isn’t too bad live though. If I’m restricted to T.V. only, then either baseball or American football.

Probably should’ve chosen “don’t make me choose” in the poll…

1`. baseball
2. ncaa Basketball tourny
3. pro football
4. college football
5. golf
6. bowling
7. hockey
I would like to watch cricket to see if I like it but it is not on my cable. Soccer does not translate well to television.

Hockey. (This is Canada - the ice is implied!)

I’m already addicted: a day without hockey is a sad day indeed. I watch other sports only when there’s no hockey on TV.

No big deal, I only watch “Combat” sports anyway.

baseballbaseballbaseball. Especially in person.

Anything else a very distant 2nd.

Boxing.

I voted for baseball. Maybe if I concentrated 100% on baseball, my psychic energies would enable the Cubs to win a World Series. My other favorite teams have all won championships since I started following them.

Aussie rules football is the best spectator sport ever devised. it is bigger than religion in the southern states of Australia!

How could I not see my beloved Tigers, it is a game that is watched by men and women, roughly 50/50.

I voted other, for horse racing.

Voted American Football (for the delicious, delicious combo of strategy, tactics, and execution) but I wouldn’t be happy in a world that didn’t also include baseball, ice hockey, and MMA/UFC.

Cricket, the variety of forms make it the stand out choice for me. I suspect those choosing baseball would like the ebb and flow and the pace of it as well.

Rugby and (real) football runners up.

Very very close between football and baseball. If it were just NFL vs. baseball, it would have been baseball, easy. But man I am a rabid college football fan and I bleed LSU purple and gold, so I had to go with football just for the excitement of the college game (to me).

But baseball is the king of all sports.

Combat sports (hoping that also includes judo, wrestling, fencing, etc.). If I just had to pick one among them it would be hard, but lumping them together, no contest.

I kind of assumed I’d be the first one in to say lacrosse…

I am a HUGE baseball junkie and, as a Canadian, I am constitutionally bound to love hockey. However, since the first time I saw a game of box lacrosse, I’ve been completely hooked. Best. Spectator. Sport. Ever. If I had to pick just one sport to enjoy purely as a spectator, it would be lacrosse, without question. I haven’t seen a lot of field lacrosse, but what I have seen was also sweet!
