Your Favorite Vowel

I can’t believe how long I thought about this before I settled on E. I’m actually a little concerned about how long I thought about this. But I did, so here’s why I’ve decided, half-heartedly at best, to go with E.

First, W’s out for simply not trying hard enough. I was raised by an english teacher and never heard of W being a vowel. W obviously needs to put some time and effort into marketing himself.

Y, make a decision already.

U spends way too much time either corrupting A, undermining O, or silently following Q all over the neighborhood looking for a double word score. Not redeeming qualities.

A is always first and I think it’s gone to it’s head.

And as everyone knows, I is just a trouble maker. He doesn’t get dotted. . . all hell breaks loose. Don’t get me started on T. . .

So, by process of elimination, I’ve go to go with E, until one of you changes my mind. Besides, E is for Elephant and elephants are cool.

I chose “A”. Just because it’s the first letter of the alphabet, and my blood is A positive.

You’re missing out on some of the finest vowels out there: æ, ø, and å (the first two known as ä and ö in Swedish and German). My favorite is most definitely ø.

Everyone has their own favorite bit of bowel. The transverse colon has always appealed to me more than the ascending or descending colon, mainly due to its flexibility of positioning. Don’t get me started on the sigmoid colon - what a lot of shit it is.

A, because when I’m playing Scrabble and swapping in a rackful of vowels, I’ll keep an E, of course, but if I’ve got an A I’ll hold onto that also. Is, Os, Us, begone!

E. It has the friendliest personality.

This is just SO TRUE. Everyone is energized by the existence of E. It makes you more alliterative, too.

I remember looking at the letter E in the encyclopedia when I was young. I discovered this information and was so pleased:

Hmm, “e” is also used as the base of natural logorithms so that has appeal. “i” is used for sqrt(-1) but since I studied Electrical Engineering I tend to use j.

(who keeps "U"s around in scrabble until the “Q” shows up (I know there are “Q” words that don’t need a “U” but most do)

My fyvyyryty vywyl ys Y, whych ys why Y ym ysyng yt y lyt yn thys syntyncy.

E, because I like a hard worker.

W’s not a goddamned vowel and to hell with anyone who says otherwise. A, E, I, O, U, sometimes Y, and that’s it, dammit.
