My thoughts and prayers are with you and your companion.
Chris, you say Zen is a wolf hybrid and since you say you have had him 3 1/2 years, I assume he is young. Both of these things are in his favor–youth and hybrid vigor can go a long way in healing. He also has a loving “alpha dog” and the value of that to a dog (especially a wolf-hybrid) cannot be underestimated.
Sending you both healing thoughts. (((Zen and Chris)))

Best wishes on the road to recovery.
it sounds like zen is fighting the good fight. i hope he continues to improve. will you be able to stay with him at your vets?
(adds zen to prayer list)
I hope your boy makes it, Zenster.
Sounds like good news so far, that is wonderful! C’mon Zen, you can do it!
Jeez, Zenster, that’s just awful. I don’t know what I’d do if one of my dogs was in a similar situation. Most heartfelt wishes for Zen’s speedy recovery. It sounds like he may be improving; I’ll be thinking of you both today.
:crosses fingers and toes:
Zenster, Tori and Chubby and I are crossing everything we have for you and Zen. The improvement sounds hopeful, and I second Brynda’s remarks about his youth and hybrid vigor. I know your doggums are your four-legged children and I also know the feeling of waiting tensely for a call from the vet. Here’s sending health and healing thoughts to the both of you.
I’m sure Christ wouldn’t mind.
Good news! Yay! Go Zen, it’s your birthday, go, go, go! {Esprix dances a little jig with his hands}
It’s all good, Zenster. I predict more good times with your pooch in the future.

Zenster wasn’t at my computer or my good vibes would have been there already. Sent 'em FedEx, tho, so they should be there by now.
Am glad to hear there’s some good news, are you able to visit him lots???

I’ve only been checking the board periodically, and just came across this thread. It sounds like Zen is really improving and I’m sending my prayers for a full and speedy recovery. I know how hard it must be for you, because I know just how much you adore Zen. He’s lucky to have someone who loves him as much as you do.

My absolute heartfelt best wishes for your best friend. May he pull through this, none the worse for wear. When I was 2 years old, I got into some ant poison. After pumping my stomach, they told my grandmother that I would make it. I did. I have faith that he will too.
O
Chris, you have my absolute best hopes and wishes for you and your furry friend. I know firsthand what wonderful, smart, loyal friends wolf hybrids are, and think I might understand some of your pain at this time.
Take care my friend.
Dang man. that sucks.
I’m so sorry. Take heart, the people on this board, as you know and are finding out, are very caring and will listen no matter what this comes to.
Here’s hoping and praying it will come to good.
This should cheer you up a bit…

Throwing positive vibes in Zen’s general direction.
Best wished going out to Zen.
I see rat poisoning all the time, so I know it isn’t pretty.
Zenster:
Sending Zen all my healing and positive thoughts. May he soon be back home with you.
All the best to you and Zen. You are both in my thoughts.
Hugs and good wishes to both you and Zen. An an additional ear scratch for the fella.
I hope he’s recovering nicely.

His clotting times are almost normal.
His blood oxygen is at almost 90%.
His gums are pink instead of gray.
He’s off of the oxygen.
But best of all…
HE’S HOME !!!
The Million Dollar Mutt™ is home! His breathing is still a little labored, but that’s because he’s been weaned off of his oxygen. He’s in good spirits and he’s laying at my feet as I type this. Piewacket the cat came up and touched noses with him to welcome him back home. It’s just one big happy family in the Zenster household.
I cannot possibly tell you how relieved I am right now. More than anything else, I cannot possibly tell all of you how much your kindness meant to me in this time of troubles. All of you have left footprints (the good kind, not bootprints) in my heart. I’ll never forget this, now excuse me before I get all verklempt.
Some of you might want to hop on over to bdgr’s thread because there’s going to be a surprise waiting for all of you over there. Give me a few minutes to post it and you’ll all be happy you waited. Well, at least the carnivores amongst you.
Again, thank you all so very much. I’ll post some more bulletins in this thread as events merit it. The light all of you have shone into my life will leave a lasting glow.
Ooops. Sorry I’m just getting to this thread. I’m so happy to hear your doggy is doing better, Zenster. I’m wishing him and you all the best. Hang in there, and give Zen a hug for me.
