And because being legally able to leave your mother’s house before 18 without living in the streets involves a ton of paperwork which most people wouldn’t even know where to begin.
Incredibly minor rant, but as my wife is leaving for work this morning she says “Can I take your car? Mine is out of gas.” WTF? Why didn’t you fill it up when you left work last night, or before you came home when you got into town? Or somewhere along the way during your 30 mile commute? Or get up early so you can take care of it? Nope, just dumped in my lap at the last minute, which is really starting to become a habit with her.
Well, fuck.
Modern medicine is awesome until it isn’t.
Nice username/post combo, though.
Minirant: I poked myself in the eye with Perversion today. Again.
For the uninitiated, Perversion is a mascara by Urban Decay. For some ungodly reason I decided to put makeup on this morning even though I’m working from home. Apparently I was tired. And instead of putting it on my lashes decided it went on my eyeball instead. It fucking hurt to be stabbed in the eye with Perversion.
But as a silver lining, it was fun (in retrospect) running about the bedroom demanding my husband look at my Perversion.
The neighbors next to one of my rental houses have been parking in a space that actually is on my property for some years. Maybe 5? My tenant at that time didn’t care. I probably should have.
So now my new tenant needs that space. I told them to try to work it out themselves. The vehicle in the space has expired temporary tags. The tenants (the other, not mine) have a carport they’ve chosen to block off and not use for parking, so it’s not like they don’t have room.
Now the illegal parkers are threatening my tenants.
I told my tenants to be sure to involve the cops if indeed they do feel that they are being threatened. Get this crap on record.
So I think I am within my rights having the unlicensed vehicle towed. But I would like to stay out of this.
Dammit, I will get sucked in to this. Neighbor disputes are the worst.
Call the cops about that. They will start leaving traffic tickets on the vehicle, and will eventually have it towed by the city.
I guess I’m expecting too much of the kid? Back in my day, we would keep some pocket money from our jobs (yes, this kid has a job!) and use it to buy garish shades of nail polish and hair dye so we would have an extra special look the next time Mom or Dad decided to follow us around with a camera. ![]()
Yeah. <sigh> Well, it’s actuallyan easy choice for me to make (I simply refuse to live blind) and I always have to keep in mind that without modern medicine I would have already been dead of cancer over twenty years ago. So… really shouldn’t gripe too loudly.
It’s just not happy-making news to get, y’know?
Setting yourself up for a spot of Adverse Possession, eh?
You probably should start caring before the property is no longer yours.
My coffeemaker decided to brew a half-inch of coffee and then give up.
Back when I wasn’t old enough to vote, our parents had better things to do that follow their teenagers around, with or without a camera.
And yet, apparently I’m younger than you, since it’s not your day anymore ![]()
I always say that I had a free range childhood. “…Just head for home when the streetlights come on!” was all our parents had to say to fulfill their child-rearing duties for the day.
That reminds me … I also had two Keurig coffee makers die on me in this house too. I just had that problem alleviated in the form a birthday present: a french press. If I don’t have to plug it in I figure it won’t die on me.
I have an asshole following me on a post saying I am lying. Regardless of any attempt to discuss, this fuck head won’t actually reconcile.
I don’t believe you. You’re lying.

Wait, if you were lying when you said he was lying… but what if the original dude was lying about lying?
:dubious::( The whole board could be lies.
There’s always the possibility they’ll take care of the tags, though.
Well, at least it was strong…
