David Tennant as Peter Vincent in Fright Night. I adore him as the Tenth Doctor and I fell for him the first time I ever saw him as Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter (I didn’t even know who he was yet, but I turned to the spouse and said, “Wow, he’s cute.”).
But the shirtless, leather-pants-wearing, eyelinered Tennant strutting around as Vincent…rawr!

I agree, yet not sexy at all in the nude pics I’ve seen of him. (A serious case of Noacetol [pron. ‘no-ass-at-all’] Syndrome when unclothed.)
Naomi Watts as Jet Girl in Tank Girl. In anything else, I can take or leave her, but as Jet Girl… wow. Might be the glasses.
Maybe I’m just weird, but I generally don’t have any desire to see actors I like naked. I’d much rather see them sexily dressed (see aforementioned shirtless leather pants outfit) than completely nude. I haven’t even tried to hunt down any naked pics of Tennant (I think I might have looked at a couple linked from here in a Doctor Who thread, but that’s it).
So…did you know Sean Maher was gay when you watched the show? If so, do you think that made him hotter to you? IIRC he wasn’t out until many years after Firefly.
Depends on the actor with me. For most, suggestive clothing is the sexier I’ll admit, such as Tennant and my other Doctor Who crush of Arthur Darvill (he’s so skinny and all). OTOH some bodies, such as Henry Cavill’s “I know there’s a Gawd!” butt, have to be seen in a state of nature to be fully appreciated.
No I didn’t, but now that I do know that it makes him all the hotter because now I have a chance with him (once I break up his marriage and family).
Actually Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk were pretty damned hot as well- Maher’s just a little more my type- and I don’t know either’s sexual orientation and it doesn’t much matter, though I will admit that Adam Baldwin being a Tea Party blogger makes him less hot than I might otherwise find him. (I didn’t watch the show until a couple of years ago.)

Oh, and to give my response. I had a serious crush on Claire Danes when she was on “My So-Called Life”. I still hate Jared Leto, when he got his faced smashed in “Fight Club” I kvelled a bit. But I didn’t have the same reaction to her in any other movie or show I’ve seen her in. Something about the character she played made her incredibly desireable.

For some reason, I fell passionately in lust with Jeremy Renner in the long-cancelled TV show The Unusuals. I do like him in other things (especially as Hawkeye–those arms!) but nothing else hit me quite as hard as his role as cop/diner owner, for some reason.
Paul Gross in Slings and Arrows, a Canadian TV show about a Shakespeare troupe. I don’t find him that alluring in most things (although I think he’s certainly an attractive man), but he does a great job of playing the role of someone who’s supposed to be an incredibly charismatic actor/director: which can’t be easy. He’s also super hot.
Sigourney Weaver in Alien pretty much tops the ‘Screen Door in a Hurricane’ list for me.

Yeah, it’s the whole combo. Her slight overbite, her cute face, her smallish build, her “Hello, Bubby” accent, her expressions (esp the demure smile), her eyes…
What’s really cool… except for the axe murderer thing and the accent, I pretty much nailed this with my wife. Lucky me.
