We’ve had these threads before, and I’ve been able to overlook these kinds of things in the past, but as a network security professional, Live Free or Die Hard sure bent my suspension of disbelief.
Sure, computers have to be ‘gussied up’ to be used as a plot device to the general public, and there really isn’t anything cinematic about a SQL injection attack, but dear og!
I won’t even go listing (he’s eBombing us!) the less obvious (nitrogen cooling and razor blade fans) issues (We have access to all TV, Satellite, Power, Military, Utility, and Traffic!)
But I bent my bullshitometer knob and want a refund!
That’s all. I’m sure it’s no worse than folks feel about CSI.
I havent seen it yet, only ads. I did notice the gunfire coming from the F-35. I seemed to notice it being two guns, mounted in the LERX next to both intakes, and they seemed to fire at a slow rate, like an old .50 caliber. I am fairly confident the F-35 has a 6-barrel gatling gun(the A model does, 25mm, mounted on left side, but A model cant hover). So the plane in the movie has to be a B model, which has no built in canon, and would carry one in a pod underneath.

The plane in the movie can’t possibly exist in real life for a few reasons:
- It couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with ANY of it’s armaments
- It hovers, drops near the ground, scoots under an elevated highway, takes potshots at Our Hero, then scoots up between the lanes of said elevated highway.
- Hi Opal, point three was combined with point 1.
