Rare steak (made just the way I like because I made it) and some perogies with onions, bacon bits and sour cream. Cola.
And closer to midnight, a glass of white wine.

A big ol’ floppy slice of New York pizza purchased at a random vendor in Penn Station before heading out to some bar in…the village, I think is where we were?
(Did I mention it was only my second time in NYC, and the first time that wasn’t a high school trip?)
I ate around 7 pm an egg and sausage biscut and chicken sandwich from Jack in the Box. That’s what happens when you’re a single guy on the holidays.
Shredded duck w/pancakes

Round Table Pizza at the Dubai airport waiting for an 0230 flight.
A Berlin tradition, at least at my SO’s home, was always to have potato salad and some form of sausage for NYE. The idea, I think, is to start off the new year with an appetite by eating light the evening before, but I am not quite sure how it started.
Still, damned good potato salad, and we had those little smoky links along with it. Quite tasty and yes, I was really hungry this morning and we had a big breakfast. Sounds like a good start to a new year for me.
Sloppy joes
Tater tots
Root beer

(This meal was had by 4 adult women after an afternoon of sledding. We were having a kid day.
)
Leftover green salad and leftover turkey. I had a very quiet evening. I think I had some cake, too.
Wine, roast chestnuts, wine, brie, wine, roast chestnuts, stilton, wine, beer, wine, (cross into 2008) sparkling wine, wine, stilton, etc.
Lamb chops with rosemary, couscous, salad - then chips and salsa as the night progressed.
Toast, whitefish caviar, and a bottle of Longboard Lager.
A few hours earlier I’d had four cheese raviolis with sauce and freshly-grated romano cheese and a glass of water.
For Supper, Nuclear and Honey BBQ Chicken Wings.
Before Midnight Bacon Cheddar Cheese Ball, Ritz, Beef Summer Sausage, Sharp Cheddar and Chedam.
Filet mignon, rare as hen teeth with prosciutto wrapped asparagus and a small bit of garlic mashed potatos all washed down with copious amounts of Makers Mark Manhattans.
Stuffed pitas. Possibly also couscous with peppers, eggplant and onions, but I’m not sure if the year had changed by then. Also some goat cheese cheddar on crackers, and a bottle of cava.
A buffalo burger and cole slaw.
Let the good times roll.
