"Your Network Adapter Is Missing A Driver"

This is the message I got right after my Vista computer did a blue screen memory dump on me.

It’s purportedly from Realtek. I haven’t done anything yet, wanted to check with y’all first.

Is this legit?

I run IE9…

Thanks

Realtek is a legit company that makes network adapters and problem with drivers can cause blue screens, so (although I can’t say for sure without seeing it) I’d guess it’s real. Who built your computer? I’d go to their website, search for your computer’s model number, and get the newest driver for your computer’s network adapter. Hopefully that will get rid of the reminder and the blue screens.

If you are still able to connect to the internet with the computer in question, then performing a Windows Update will most likely offer the missing driver as an optional update.
