Dang, I love magazines. I guess Reader’s Digest is enough for some people, but my needs seem to be all over the map when it comes to periodical literature. Here’s what I currently have coming to the Manor:

Air International
Car & Driver
Empire
(UK movie mag)
Entertainment Weekly
Frieze
(UK art mag)
Fortean Times
Oil & Gas Journal
Railpace Newsmagazine
Smart Business
Smithsonian
Trains
Wired

And less frequently:

*Aeroplane Monthly
Car
Contemporary *(another Brit art mag)
*The Economist
Mojo *(UK music mag)
*Q *(ditto)
Scientific American
Smithsonian Air & Space
Sky & Telescope
Vanity Fair

Hmm, well, nothing too obscure, I guess, except maybe Railpace. Got a real thing for UK titles, though.

So, what’s on your list?

Dive Training

Mrs. S. has free subs to things like American Baby and Parenting or something like that. When you have a kid you get 6 free months or so.

I can’t have too many magazines around; I don’t poop that frequently.

FYI, we just did this. To what magazines do you subscribe, and why?

I hate when that happens. Sorry.

Oh boy, first chance to use: :smack:

Yeah, but I didn’t participate in that thread, and damnit, I know you’re all breathlessly waiting for my answer.

Me:

“Brain, Child” (this is an awesome magazine, by the way. It’s about parenting, but less about “tips and advice” and more like Salon’s “Mothers Who Think” back when it was still called that).

“Midwest Living”

“Biography”

Those three get mailed to the house. Then I occasionally buy “Style 1920”, “American Bungalow,” and “People.” The first two are about mission & aerts & craft style. The last one is for morons.

Husband:

“Fine Woodworking”

“World of Wood”

“Sawmill & Woodlot Management”

He buys other Woodworking magazines, too.

I’ve had to cut down because it was getting difficult to vacuum the carpet but over the years we’ve subscribed to…

Outside
Men’s Health
National Geographic
Architectural Digest
Southern Living
AAPG
Oil & Gas Journal
Smithsonian
Newsweek
Time
Life
Psychology Today
Poop Today
Scientific American
The Economist
Harvard Business Review
and some wimmin’s stuff.

Poop Today?!
