Well, we got a flurry of activity once the thread became visible again after that latest bump of mine. Enough so that I wasn’t here to capture the results after 240 Voters had been in. So this summary comparing the positioning after 120 votes with the current status after 241 will have to do for showing changes in mood of the voters.

That poll was a poorly planned April fool’s joke. Those happened to be the 4 tv shows that seemed to ALWAYS have a thread going on SDMB (3 which had been off the air for a while, and the fourth only had threads going to COMPLAIN about how bad it’s gotten).
Note that in this one, I cast my vote for The Simpsons (along with 30 Rock, Futurama, Seinfeld and Mythbusters) but that vote was only in consideration for Seasons 1-8, which I STILL consider to be the best television ever created. Seasons 9+ don’t exist as far as my voting is concerned.
I can visualize Dopers only mildly interested in TV to start with, reading the comments and looking at the summaries and forming something like this in their minds: “Hmmm, there seems to be a lagging behind in some of those clams I used to mute-on-contact. Maybe I should vote for them and help skew this thing into the realm of the ridiculous.”
Not that any voters have done such a thing.
However, if they are reading the comments before voting, maybe your input could cause a little drift in the final week’s results.
We’re winding down to the final 53 hours for this poll to remain open. If 30 people who voted in the original and who haven’t voted in this one will step forward we can get to the same number of Voters as in that first try.
