Do you have the names and contact information of any of the witnesses?
You say that you had transfers in your hand, and were given the option of handing over tickets or disembarking the bus.
According to the website for the bus line, transfers (presented under the proper conditions) are functionally equivalent to tickets. Why did you choose to disembark, rather than hand over the tickets/transfers?

My girlfriend: Hi, is this the bus to the airport?
The driver: I don’t know. (An obvious lie. There is no way she would not know. Look at the Google Maps link I’ve posted.)
Us: Stunned silence
Me, tentatively: I have the map here…
The driver: I don’t know. I’m not a cab driver.
Us: More stunned silence
Her: I’ve just been to the airport. (Technically true, but definitely intended to make us believe it was the wrong bus.)
I start to move aside so the queue can start moving while I double check on my phone (I don’t have data on my phone, it’s expensive here, i just have the map loaded up).
The driver: You have to give me tickets or get off the bus.
I’m still stunned. I move towards the second door because there is a queue of people behind us.
She asks where I’m going.
I’m still stunned. I sheepishly answer that I was going to get out the second door.
She says to get out the front door. I brush against everyone waiting and we go out.
We walk to the airport.
She drives by us, on that tiny road. She doesn’t stop.
This was either racism or random cuntiness; in both cases, she should be fired.

Okay - I’ll take a shot. I had a driver of a municipal vehicle driving aggressively and erratically. I reported it in the proper way.
About a week later, I received the response that they were investigating. Two more weeks and I got a reply from the supervisor that he would reprimand the driver.
So, that is 3 weeks, give or take. The more you are FREAKING out on social media, the easier it is for people to chalk you up as a crazy. You are not helping yourself if what you want is for them to take you seriously.

Just thought I’d add a point about bus routes: you might think the bus going in the same direction you are walking is the one headed for the airport, but it very well could be the bus going the opposite direction is the airport bound one thanks to the fact that bus routes are not direct lines; they meander.
And I simply don’t buy that a bus driver answered “I don’t know” to the query the OP says he put to her. I’ve lived in a number of cities in a few countries and have visited other cities around the world. Bus drivers everywhere I’ve been have been very good at telling me what route and where to switch after I gave the destination. The OP is, as proven, irrational. I think he’s also not honest.

I’ll concede I’m expecting results too quickly. Still, explain the defensiveness I’m encountering EVERYWHERE I go. Why am I only getting canned messages and stalling for time? Why aren’t my concerns being taken seriously? Why is it immediately assumed that I’m crazy or lying? This is a pretty big deal, no?
As to the strength of my reaction, imagine how humiliating it was for me. If we both had been from Canada, it wouldn’t have been as bad. But imagine. I love this woman. I bring her here to my own country and this happens. How do you think I feel?

I think what happened is she started being rude and since we’re city people, we’re used to just listening to public transportation employees, they’re like figures of authority. Because 99% of the time, they’re right. When she saw how meekly we reacted, she thought she could get away with it, but she’s so fucking dumb, because of course we were going to realize.
