Like I’d said above, it’s possible that policy is to have the drivers not say where they’re going — just make the stops, and never be the one who gave a guy what he claims is incorrect advice about a destination — in which case, the driver’s replies wouldn’t have been racism or random, but prescribed and routine.

That’d also explain why she eventually gave the answer about where she’d just been: if she’s not allowed to say anything about where she’s going, and so came up on the fly with the solution of (a) saying where she’d just been, while (b) hoping that you’d get the hint by realizing she drives a back-and-forth circuit.

You ever stop and think that maybe the BUS DRIVER was having a bad day? Maybe SHE was in a bad mood? Maybe someone in her family died. Maybe she found out she had a serious illness. Maybe she just broke up with her boyfriend. And she really wasn’t in the mood to be pleasant and smiling, and she started snapping at riders. The point is, YOU DON’T KNOW.

Now, if you haven’t, DON’T. If she’s been sheltered from your obsessiveness, leave her in her innocence. Because she may very well think “This guy is a whack job, I’m out of here!”

But in a week, after much sleep and counseling and hopefully some perspective and emotional maturity, you’ll hopefully be over this. Then you can laugh about how you overreacted. Wouldn’t that be much better than how you’re feeling now?

If I come up to you and candidly admit that something put me in the hospital, don’t ever say it’s not a big deal, come on. Just pretend. If it’s not a big deal to you, you don’t have to let me know. Please, for your own sake, go get some sleep. You won’t be much good for her if you’re sleep-deprived. And once again, you need to be patient. I know it sucks, I know it doesn’t seem fair, I know you hate it, I know you think she was a complete psycho twat. But these things don’t happen over night. Otherwise, if you keep hounding them, they WILL be more likely to ignore you, actually. Four days is way too soon for anything to happen. Give it a week or two. Patience, grasshopper, patience. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
