I feel like the entire thing is a bunch of bullshit meant to generate outrage. I think she knew what she was doing, since she said she planned to go after him last December. I think she knew what to expect and she was fake crying and play-acting when she did that press statement. And I like her okay. I don’t seek her out but I don’t turn it off if she’s in something I’m watching. I didn’t know what to think until I saw that video of her “breaking down”. Until then I felt bad, like she was just making a stupid joke, but what was the meaning anyway? Was she saying she was coming after his head? What was the point in the first place? She had to know people would not react positively. But then someone on social media said “she should be in prison!” and another said she should have her tongue cut out, and then another said she should have her throat slit. And this was just on my local news FB page! People are really overreacting… but then I see her fake tears and wonder what the hell was she thinking and is it playing out just like she’d hoped.
It’s amazing how quickly people apologize for things that hit them in the pocketbook. Just amazing. It’s almost as if money were some weird motivational force in the whole matter.

Do something outrageous: get left and right jib jabbers into a frenzy.
Then add to it quick and arguably abject ‘apology’: ie throw gas on the fire as left jib jabbers went into more of a frenzy that right jib jabbers wouldn’t ‘forgive her’. ‘She apologized!!! what’s your problem?’
Then give a truly bizarre press conference saying it was ‘bullying’ for Trump family members to criticize her*. That one just left everybody I think (those still not too busy jib jabbing to pay attention to it) saying WTF?
So she’s a brilliant performance artist (the idea of her original role in Seinfeld was how obnoxious but not funny a ‘comedian’ she was, and that never really changed AFAIK). Or she’s just a lunatic.

The head as itself is pretty meh nowdays, but I think targeting Barron is as bad as it gets.
I haven’t heard anything negative of him so I assume he’s a decent kid. And I can’t imagine what he’s already going through knowing that there are literally billions of people who hate his father. And he’s at quite fragile age after all, who knows what this does to him. It’s bad enough to see his father ( old enough to be his grandfather ) acting like a buffoon and apparently getting demented. I think Melania is smart to keep him away from Washington and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s for Barron why she’s so surly at Donald these days.
See, to me, ‘‘going direct for Barron’’ is obviously a joke, and one I think is funny.
I do have sympathy for the kid, though, and wonder if he’s old enough to parse that type of humor.
So I guess I think it’s funny within an adult context if he’s not hearing it.
