You're reuniting the Beatles for a world tour.

Yeah, Elvis Costello as John and Clapton as George.

Okay, I’m still laughing at this five minutes later.
With the caveat that a Beatles reunion in any form would suck, I think that Manduck has the best suggestion. Clapton for his connection to George and Elvis because he’s so cool.

What a minute… What about Paul? Who’s going to fill in for Paul?

He is still dead, isn’t he?
Personally, I think that Peter, Davy and Micky should fill in for the absent Beatles.

Yeah, that’s it, get all the people you can find from the Mercy Beat era and toss them up on stage.

I think Leif Ericson might be a better fill-in for “Immigrant Song”-era John Bonham.

Clapton

Julian
How could it be any others?

What’s odder is having a child that will be younger than two of your grandchildren (daughter Mary’s children)!

Partially serious, but partially only out of a desire to see them live.

Morrissey for Lennon and Johnny Marr for George.

And Paul isn’t allowed to sing.

I think it would work.

And if I get another go, I’ll give the jobs to Nick Cave and Elvis Costello. Again, Paul isn’t allowed to sing.

Can we just fill out the group with a few random NSync members?

get the guys from the many versions of beatlemania…anyone ever seen beatlemaina…Marshall Crenshaw as John…not sure who the George would be

Hell let’s even toss Elton John in there.

Clapton and McCartney? Makes sense - the more you think about what they used to be, the sadder you get when you think about what they’ve become. YUCK.

While a number of the people here can both play guitar and sing, one of the strongpoints of the Beatles was harmonizing. I can’t picture a lot of these singers (especially Daltrey with his high voice) harmonizing with Paul, Ringo and whoever.

A reunion didn’t happen while they were alive, it sure as hell shouldn’t happen now that 50% are dead.

It’s over.

That said, there are some pretty good Beatles revival bands touring out there who look and sound like the old group…if you have some 60’s drugs left over, you might be able to re-live the moment.

But sorry to bust the bubble…any combination without John and George would be like making an omlette without eggs and cheese.

By the way…I saw that Paul and Ringo met at the opening of a film the other day and basically just smiled and posed for photos, but didn’t seem to have a lot to say to each other. Sounds like even getting those two together might not be an easy trick anymore.

John Tesh and Boy George

I always thought the Beatles sucked, so adding those two would just make me REALLY not want to see them live.

Clones

Booker57 gave me an idea.

Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams for George and John.
