You're sitting on the floor. Why?

Assembling IKEA furniture, playing with the cats, a lot of friends/family are visiting and all the seats in my apartment are taken, sorting laundry, exercising, I just felt like it, etc.

Other.

I am sitting on the floor because I am at work, and am doing something involving the bottom shelf or the shelf above the bottom shelf. Probably hanging tags (or otherwise changing price tags), but maybe in depth dusting or counting for inventory.

I don’t always sit down to do such things, but if I am doing something repeatedly on the bottom shelf or the one above it, I am likely to just give in and sit down.

emotional breakdown. Need to just let it all out, so I’m down here.

I’ll go through some stuff on my lower shelves in the bedroom too while I’m down here. Probably sort some laundry and wrap it up while sniffling through the end.

I’m on the floor because my girlfriend says doing it on the floor doesn’t wake the kids up with bed springs a squeaking.

It’s where mt beer is.

My outer child.

Specifically the Firebug, age 7. The floor is where we play.

It’s 25 or 6 to 4?

Cuz Jkilez told me to?

I’m not one to fight the hypothetical, after all.

I like it.

Anyway, sitting in a chair is exactly what the Man wants you to do.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Yup. Or cleaning up the flotsam and jetsam that resulted. I’m not built for the floor anymore, however.

I’m role-playing my halfling character; sitting on the floor helps me get in character, and helps the other players see someone much shorter than me.

better posture.

I live in Thailand, where floor cushions are the norm. We don’t even have a couch. We do have a chair, and a dining set with four chairs, and a chair in front of the PC. But for TV watching, it’s the floor cushions.

Same for me, but in Japan.

That said, I do have a little sofa, but I only have a low table for my computer, so I usually sit on the floor to use it.

My dining set is just another low table and more butt cushions, but I almost never use it, because I prefer to eat dinner in the living room (using my little computer table) so I can watch TV.

ETA: When I finally get around to getting a house, it’s going to have one of these. Best of both worlds!

Actually, we do have a small couch. But it’s in the wife’s dressing room, and I always forget about it.

I’m practicing Turkish Get Ups with a 7 pound kettlebell. Working on my form before I increase the weight. And yes, I could get up without using my hands.

Labor is cheap in Thailand. I just hire people to pick me up off the floor.

This. I have to crawl over to something, and use it to pull myself up.

I’ve fallen and I can’t reach my beer.
