You may have one subscription to a monthly magazine. That’s your only reading material. What is your choice. Mine is Scientific American.
Does it have to be monthly? Because if we can do quarterly or weekly…
Quarterly: Disney Magazine
Weekly: Entertainment Weekly
9 Issues Per Year on a Haphazard Schedule: Games
Isn’t Scientific American Frontiers only quarterly? Oh well, my pick would be Popular Mechanics.
Hell, this is a secluded island, yet they still deliver magazines. Surely I could upgrade my subscription.
I would pay the extra cash to get a weekly magazine and subscribe to Entertainment Weekly. Even if they could just deliver 4 magazines, 1 time each month, I could make due.
Is there a magazine called “101 Ways to Live on a Desert Island?”
If not I could probably find some obscure magazine that tells you how to live off the land. Maybe some sort of survivalist mag.
I am not sure why Entertainment Weekly would be of use on an island. You won’t even get to see any of the movies!
I think the grandfather in The Lost Boys summed it up best. He was asked why he had a subscription to TV Guide when he didn’t have a TV. “You read TV Guide, you don’t need a TV.”
Playboy, but just for the articles.
Smithsonian.
Mother Earth News
The Atlantic, but just for the pornography.
