Black keys/RZA Baddest man alive
The Led Zeppelin instrumental, Moby Dick. The riff is every bit as badass and macho. Edited properly, the extended drum solo would really pair up nicely with modern gunfight choreography.
I’ve often thought The Amboy Dukes’s version of “Baby, Please Don’t Go” would be awesome for an extended fight scene on TV or in the movies (I had a prolonged semi-fantasy that it would be used in The Sopranos as the opening season montage or a scene where Tony chases and then whacks someone). The long guitar solo in the middle could coincide with a lull in the action before they nail the riff at the end to bring everything to a suitably dramatic conclusion.
The Shield used the Dropkick Murphys take on “Amazing Grace” as the background for one of their episode-ending montages. Blew me away.
Shoot to Thrill by AC/DC would be a great one.
Also if they can have some R-rated lyrics some Misfits would work, like “Attitude”, “Where Eagles Dare”, and “Last Caress.”
