YouTube Mystery Button - What Does It Do?

Okay, I’ve noticed on some youtube videos there is a weird soccer ball shaped button, and I can’t figure out what it does, or what it’s supposed to do.

You’ll notice it right next to the high definition button. If you click it, it makes an awful noise whether the video is running or not. I just have some cheap speakers, so I am wondering if it might be some sort of premium sound option?

Thanks. I’ve even been watching a few of the games, you would think with the soccer ball button clue I would have figured that one out.
