Gosh it is great to be in the US for a few weeks. High-speed non-censored internet, wonderful stuff. So now I can see YouTube stuff. Is there any way to download the little movies onto my computer?

You paste the URL into a field there and it makes a link for you to download the file from. You end up with a flash video file, .flv format so you have to have a player for that. On my Mac I use flvThing.
I think there are also a few Firefox extensions that will extract Youtube videos for you.
OK, lemme try that. Hold my hand.

YouTube seems to be getting slow. I will try again in the morning.
No, men don’t hold hands in the USA. Have you been in Saudi Arabia so long that you forgot how things work here?
There’s a nice little Firefox extension called DownloadHelper which will do it. I use a free program called SUPER © to convert the YouTube video so I can watch it on my iPod.
I am using my mom’s Windows machine. When I get back to my Apple, we can deal with the playing thing.
Let’s give it a rest tonight as YouTube seems to be having trouble this evening.
An alternate site that does the same thing (and it’s easier to remember):
A free Windows flv player can be downloaded here:
