Frequently while playing a YouTube video on my iPhone over WiFi, the video will pause and does not appear to buffer after that although you can sometimes press play and it will continue. No busy indicator appears. I am curious as to how to diagnose this issue. It seems as though it is peculiar to certain videos. Does YouTube devote extra resources to certain videos? It could also be the cable provider, my Airport Extreme, or the phone itself. Shutting the phone down and restarting does not mitigate the problem, so I don’t think it’s the phone. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rob
try on different hotspot.
try on 3g or whatever
Don’t know if this is applicable in your case but I had the same problem for a while with my iPod touch. I discovered that if I let the videos fully load and start playing on their own then they did just fine.
This has happened to me lately. Some videos will only progress to 45 seconds and then stop when paused. They only progress further when I press play and will stop progressing ahead at 45 seconds when I press pause again. It seems random as I can play some videos fully that are only an hour old, but encounter this with videos several hours or days old.
