One time, I went home for the evening and my chair disappeared! Someone on night shift took it and forgot to bring it back.
My name is on all my office supplies except pens and pencils–now it is on my chair as well.

Nothing’s been taken from my desk, but my Cheestrings went missing from the fridge.
A coworker had his lunch (including Tupperware) stolen from the fridge too, on a day when the cafeteria was closed.
I just about died until I noticed those were CASE prices.
As for missing Items - Pens & Sharpies get stolen, so I try to use a different brand / type / size than my lackeys do, to make it easier to catch them. I took a 12 pack of Sharpwriter Pencils (the cheap mechanicals), and engraved the word LAB (I run the QC Lab in a factory) on each of them (it was a slow day). Within a week every pencil on the factory floor was one of my marked ones. Bastards.
We use the same disposable items as the production workers (paint pens, utility knives, stuff like that), so we’re constantly on guard against raids.
If ANYONE messes with the Hula girl, Mr Potato Head or the Simpsons bobbleheads on my printer shelving when I leave on a trip, they are immediately killed & their bodies disposed of out back.
I just got back from a 3 week vacation. Everything is still in place, including the 75¢ in my desk drawer. There was a packing label sitting on my desk, with the note “We all enjoyed your cookies, thanks.” It seems someone sent me a package of cookies, as a thank you, and they arrived 2 days after I left. My co-workers called the sender, told them I was gone for 3 weeks, and asked if they could eat the cookies, rather then let them get stale.
I don’t blame them, but (sob) I didn’t get a cookie!
Many posters here seem oddly attached to their staplers.
I don’t get it myself…
I get the joke, but a good stapler is still worth its weight in gold - no, gold isn’t good enough - PLATINUM. If you use one a lot each day you’ll appreciate a well built one even more.
My last 3 ended up smashed against a cinderblock wall.
Well blow me down! I came into work today after being away for a week, and nobody took anything off my desk! I can’t usually go a weekday without my pens, especially my Sharpie, disappearing. There is actually a second post-it pad here that I didn’t used to have.
(cue “Twilight Zone” theme…)
