You've gone too fucking far, Yahoo Games!

Have you considered joining the Internet Chess Club. It is $49 for the year and only $25 if you are a student. When I was playing chess regularly online there was no substitute. It is easily worth the money, IMO (a little more than $4 a month). There are no ads, there is a variety of games, there are tutorials, you cna watch grandmasters play each other, you can look at a history of your games, you can archive some of your favorite games, you can take online lessons from professionals (you have to pay of course).

I occassionally play Literati ( Scrabble) and have won two games out of all the other games I’ve played. ( Maybe 50.) Clearly, I am a dumbass.

Somehow, I am rated higher than people who’ve won 250+ games.

If their rating system makes sense to anyone, it isn’t me.

Reported.

Wow. It took me a good thirty seconds to remember what the hell I was referencing back then.

Yahoo Games. Snicker.

Yeah I hated the Spades strata way back when. At 1800-1900 I was better than most people who were 2100 but they refused to play me due to the point hit they would take and there weren’t any other 1800-1900s for me to play. I just never won very many games on the few times when they would deign to play me since my partner always happened to be pretty bad. The richest part were the times when I played an advanced but perfect move and my partner didn’t pick up on it and messed it up and then said “i didn’t expect that sort of play style from an 1800 lol”.
