You've gotta appreciate these Twins!

The Minnesota Twins, that is. (Sorry to disappoint those of you expecting pictures of hooters or 'nads.)

Consecutive division championships! Hottest team in baseball since the break!

Now, to settle a score with the damned Yankees…

At least it’s not the ones who share my last name.

Sniff. Royals fan checking in. Man, what a tough end to the season. 150 games of beating the odds, but they just couldn’t keep it going. Great finish, Minnesota.

Darn! Thought it was the beer commercial twins…

I’m a Twins fan… when they’re playing the Skankees. How do they do it? They have stars, but not the big mega-stars like NY. Congrats!

Congrats to KC too. Tho you didn’t make it, you guys had an incredible season.

O’s in '04! All the way, baby!

How do they do it? The play in the Comedy Central. Toronto wishes they were in that division.

While I am happy for the Twins, I guess, I was really rooting for the Royals - the ultimate underdogs. I’m really disappointed they didn’t make it.
Just out of curiousity, what score do the Twins have to settle with the Yankees? They didn’t face them last year. In fact, I’m not sure the Yankees and the Twins have ever played in the postseason.

yay twins!! i have to say tho, nothing beats going to kansas city and watching the royals play. i really love outdoor stadiums, and the royals are my second favorite team!

I’m a Cubs fan, so I’m pretty happy, too.

I was more rooting for the Royals, but really, I’m just happy with anybody but that sorry team from the south side. And I’m now especially rooting for the Twinkies now that they’re going to be playing the Yankees.

God, I hate the Yankees.

JimSox5, if you really hate that team from the south side, why is your name JimSox5?
Neurotik, EVERYONE has a score to settle with the Yankees!

Good for the Twins - and the Royals were a great story for most of the year - but neither would have done much of anything in a division with competitive teams. They shared a division with Cleveland AND Detroit.
The Cubs, despite the good pitching, are sort of in the same spot. Their division is weak (Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh) and their record is not nearly as good as the other two NL division winners - in fact, Florida has a better record than the Cubs. But they could still do something in the playoffs with that staff.
