Let’s not forget the immortal Missouri Mortician, Herm Kiesler. (Well, maybe not immortal…) I’ve seen it reported that he kept his jacket.
You are trying to start a fight.
Jesus did not pick ZJ over the little babies.
Jesus did not give ZJ yardage instructions or help with club selection.
Jesus did not telekinetically aid ZJ’s ball or impede his opponents’.
I am a Christian (a Catholic) and an international-class athlete, and I am happy to tell you how and for what I and others like me pray, if you are willing to listen with a tolerant ear.
But the idea that Jesus walks beside ZJ means, in a nutshell, that ZJ’s faith in Christ gave him the composure to ignore his surroundings and play his game.
I don’t think ZJ is saying that God favors ZJ over His other children.
No, I’m not.
He may not think he is, but if Jesus helped him win a golf tournament, and did not help a baby from being raped to death, it sort of goes without saying.
Did you read the rest of my post or just cherry-pick the things that would help you trash the religious?
Again, I’m happy to explain to you the reasoning behind Christianity in sports, but you really seem intolerant.

That is not what he said. Not even close.
Fire away.
Haven’t forgotten you, but today is a class day.
There’s a Pit thread that I posted to quickly, and I will try to find another thread where I did a little better explaining it, but I should be able to post coherently in the early afternoon.
Okee Dokee.
