Don’t recall ever seeing a pack of dogs running wild. Maybe I’ve just lived in the wrong neighborhoods. Wolves are quite rare in the states; they’d been eradicated from the entire country except Alaska and remote parts of Michigan and Minnesota. They’ve been reintroduced from Canada to parts of the west, but the ranchers are intent on re-eradicating them. Anyway, they don’t live anywhere near the big cities except Anchorage AK. Cougars are a potential problem; they do come into cities and catch pets. But assuming I still have my human intelligence, I think I can outwit a cat. As in “find somewhere indoors to sleep”.
As far as the OP, maybe I’d find a little girl named Phoebe to befriend.
