Does anyone have a recipe for NY style zeppoles? The kind I want to make are like the ones you would get at a feast like San Gennaro’s in Little Italy. The ones that I have found have all been off - either cake like, or filled with cheese, etc.
I bet a recipe for funnel cake would work - just glob the dough in, instead of drizzling it in.
The most important part, of course, is that while the zeppole are still wet with oil from the deep fryer, you put them in a paper bag with powdered sugar, shake to coat.

Just take a trip to New York City on any weekend during the summer – there’s bound to be a street fair going on somewhere. If geography makes that impractical, the I guess Google is your best bet.
