Zingers/One-Liners and Cabaret-Type Witticisms

Anyone have any good resources for this sort of old-time humor that doesn’t seem to exist any more? I caught a cabaret show not too long ago and they had a bunch of throwaway lines like:

“My husband last night jumped out of the 13th story window”
“Didn’t he know that’s unlucky?”

One I read recently in another thread:

“Your father has a new job, he’s got 500 men under him. He cuts the grass at the cemetary.”

Hell, I’m not even sure I know what to call this form of humor (and damned if I can think of any more examples), but it sure is funny…

Anyone know any books/sites/films to watch?

I recommend some Mae West goodness.
