Except for Wilson, not really comparable to the Life Aquatic, though I liked them both. And very quotable.
Mer-MAAAAN!
I got the black lung cough cough
Still, as far as Frat Pack pictures go, it’s no Old School.

Bottle Rocket is heavy with Luke. It reminded me of Fandago in several ways, not the least of which was it started off as a short which was then turned full length when a big name director took an interest (Spielberg w/ Fandango).
It’s quirky and loaded w/ subtle, but I like that.
Zoolander working in the coal mine was funny as hell. I agree with Jacob, this movie isn’t for “getting” it’s just silly mindless fun.
I say this pretty much any time I let out a delicate cough cough. Even if no one else is there.
Thank God your mother didn’t live long enough to see her son as a mermaid!
No thanks. I can Dere-lick my own balls.
Know what your problem is mssmith537? You think your too cool for school.
Well I have news for you Walter Kronkite, you’re not!
(you should listen to your friend Billy Zane. he’s cool.)
Know what would make the OP feel better?
“Orange Mocha Frappuccino!”
Oh no. I want that tea. You know, the one where you end up in a sandwich between the little people and the Maori guy and you don’t wake up until 5 o’clock the next day?
Well, I’m not sure that would make me feel better, per se. But I’m certainly willing to try it once.
levdrakon - you’ve got to stop looking for messages and stop thinking that directors are trying to outsmart you. Zoolander is a mindlessly fun comedy, through and through.
I refused to see it when it came out because I thought it looked so terrible, but my brother finally made me watch it a year or two later and it has turned into one of my most quotable movies.
The fact that I like this movie at all speaks a lot to its hilarity as well, because I don’t really like Owen Wilson (though he was great in Tennenbaums), Ben Stiller, or Will Ferrell, and I hardly ever liked PG-13 movies.
I still drop Magnum in some of our vacation photos evidence
What say we settle this on the runway… Hamp-Solo?
MerMAN!
It had a kickin’ 80s soundtrack and David Duchovney doing a hilarious self-parody. What’s not to love?
“You can read minds?”
A really great movie.
