In all seriousness, one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen ZPG say is when she told me that I obviously don’t have any idea what it means to be part of a family. And…dude, I have a mom and a dad (fer real), 2 brothers and a sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and a mess of cousins. They all treat me just the same as they treat their “blood.” I seriously don’t get what she thinks I’m missing.

This actually happens, sort of. In a bunch of central Asian languages, “um” roughly means “cunt”. But people raised in other languages, even if they have learned to speak Turkish or Uzbek or Kazakh or whatever, sometimes don’t know that, so…
