I understand Zero Population Growth, but having actually followed ZPGZealot’s postings here, she isn’t in the ‘reasonable’ camp.
She hates live humans in general. If you read ZPG’s history of posts you will see a history of possible emotional abuse, certain family failure and loss of self worth.
Do the right clicky thing on her user name, then read her posts, and come back and tell me this is a normally functioning human being.
I agree that she’s probably not a complete troll. She seems consistently psycho. She does seem to milk it for all it’s worth, though. In the adoption thread, she was so willfully ignoring any logical argument that it made you wonder.

I don’t actually think she’s a troll, I think she’s just naive, insulated, and fairly dumb. Much like several other people who have been accused of trolling around here.
I used to be shocked when I read crazy opinions like these on the Dope, but I’ve come to realize that people that wacky and stupid really do exist. It’s sort of a cautionary tale for the rest of us - these are the real people who walk amongst us. It’s sort of enlightening, but also incredibly depressing.
That seems more like the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement than the zero population growth movement.

Strangely enough, I was just reading that thread about a week ago (sometimes I like to read trainwrecks, what can I say?), and I really noticed the poor reasoning in this post:
The logical holes in this argument are huge. First, she is confusing unconditional love with a complete lack of discipline or behavioural modification of the child. Second, she says that as a guardian she expects nothing of a child - isn’t that the unconditional thing she just said she hated? Third, if adopters really forced their children to call them Mom and Dad (as she believes they all do, to the point of beating the child if they don’t), then doesn’t that mean their love is, by definition, conditional? It’s a total mess of thoughts.
Then again this is the same thread where we learned that **ZPG **would only donate a kidney to her mother and nobody else. Not because she loves her mother or wants her to be healthy, but because she owes it to her due to the pact that was created when mom squeezed her out of her hoo-haw.
It’s all crazy.
Never mind, I found it in that trainwreck of the adoption thread – she said she’s always making sure that her younger family members are near, because you never know when the adopters are out!

My grandparents actually believed illegitimate children were became vampires after death as did suicides, murder victims, and those born with certain deformities. It’s a common folk belief in Central and Eastern Europe. They hung garlic at the windows to keep evil spirits away. They also believed in the Evil Eye and that a virgin named Mary had a baby in Bethelehem roughly 2000 years ago (the only none vampiric illegitimate child) who was crucified for the sins all humans.
