Zsa Zsa Gabor, dead at 99

She was 24 when she left Hungary.

I don’t know how much difference that makes. I knew a German who was born in 1922 and came to the U.S. in 1966. I also knew a Dane who was born in 1907 and came to the States before World War II, although he returned to Denmark before the Nazi invasion and was unable to leave the country again before the war ended. Both spoke their native languages fluently.

That was my point. Since she was an adult when she left, it is unlikely she would have forgotten her native language.
